Day 1 Induction & Onboarding

Workplace tour, health and safety briefing, introduction to staff, and setting expectations with the supervisor.

Days 2–3 Observation & Shadowing

Shadowing different team members, attending internal meetings, and conducting informal informational interviews.

Days 4–5 Supported Tasks

Assisting with low-risk tasks (e.g., graphic creation, notes for other students, data entry, customer service, or basic project work) under direct supervision.

Days 6–9 Independent/Mini Project

Executing a small, structured project relevant to the business (e.g., creating a draft social media layout or auditing inventory).

Day 10 Review & Sign-Off

Conducting a final feedback review with the supervisor, asking for a reference letter, and organizing a formal sign-off.

Project examples:

• Project Title: Youth Engagement Campaign Concept

• The Challenge: Creating a concept to promote a new critical thinking or executive function workshop specifically targeting high school or university students.

• Key Deliverables:

  • A social media content calendar (drafting 3–5 Instagram tiles or LinkedIn post outlines using standard tools like Canva).

  • A short, written promotional flyer or landing page copy tailored to a youth audience.

  • A brief pitch explaining which channels (TikTok, school newsletters, community hubs) will reach the target audience most effectively.

• Skills Developed: Digital marketing, copywriting, audience research, graphic layout design, and presentation.
